‘Knox’ Calls For Public To Support Miss World Fiji Contestants

A judge for the Miss World Fiji pageant has called on the public to show support for the pageant contestants.
Contemporary singer/songwriter, Inoke ‘Knox’ Kalounisiga said there were some very promising contenders.
“At the end of the day, we judges are looking for someone who has the whole package – beauty on the outside, beauty on the inside and very confident; someone with a drive, purpose and that’s where the term beauty with a purpose comes in,” Mr Kalounisiga said.
“People out there who always find something negative to talk about when it comes to competitions such as this. Come on, where’s the support? These people here need your support because they are going to represent your country like similar to what the Fiji 7s Rugby players go through.
“Instead of finding loopholes let’s boost their confidence and be more positive,” he said.
The final round of judging for the 14 contestants was held at the Grand Pacific Hotel yesterday. The contestants went through private judging, evening gown wear, top model and talent judging.
The judge for the final round, Miss World Fiji 2014, Charlene Sulueti Tafuna’i, said the idea was to get a confident beauty with purpose who could stand out at the Miss World pageant.
The crowning ceremony will be held tomorrow at 6pm at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.
