Twenty-two-year-old policeman Eroni Daugunu, was yesterday named as a victim of a hit-and-run a case which happened on June 1, 2017.

The hit-and-run incident took place in Walu Bay, Suva.

His cousin Losalini Daugunu described him as a kind-hearted person who would forever be missed.

“Last week Wednesday, he went to play rugby with his friends at Nasova but did not return home.

“We then started calling his friends and asked for his whereabouts. We could not locate him thinking he would return home soon.

“This week, we asked one of our uncles about him not returning home. His wife is a policewoman, had lodged a complaint with the Police Force.”

Ms Daugunu also said that after the Police report was lodged, her aunt (policewoman) was informed about the hit and run case.

“She was then taken to identify the body and it was confirmed then that my cousin was no more,” she said.
