The Samuela Saqiwa captained-Jack’s Nadi rugby side will settle for nothing less than a win against QAQA Namosi in today’s Skipper Cup clash at Prince Charles Park, Nadi.

The win is going to guarantee the Savenaca Aria coached-side a spot in the Skipper Cup semi-finals.

Nadi team manager Lasaro Rabaka said on Thursday night that preparations have lifted to another notch as they head towards the end of the competition.

“It has been difficult since we’re at the tough end of the competition,” he said.

“We lifted the tempo of our preparation and the boys are aware of the situation we’re in. On the points table both teams are tied and this game will determine those that will be in the top four. Keeping in mind with the game against Suva we want to go for a win.”

Nadi’s preparations have been boosted with the presence of Rio Olympic gold medallists Vatemo Ravouvou and Samisoni Viriviri.

“For Vatemo and Viriviri it all depends on sevens coach Gareth Baber as last Saturday there were given only thirty minutes of game time,” Rabaka added.

Today’s matches: Nadroga host Malolo at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka while Macuata face Suva at Subrail Park, Labasa. All matches kickoff at 3pm.
