Jack’s Nadi football team aims to be in their best form before they play Suva in the semifinal of the Vodafone Fijian FACT this Saturday at Ratu Cakobau Park.

Following the pool rounds the jetsetters had two weeks break before regrouping for the semifinal clash which kicks off at 4.30pm.

Team captain Vereti Dickson said after the break, the players need to reset their focus for the knockout rounds.

“We need to regroup and reset,”Dickson said.

“We had a long two weeks break and our preparation level has dropped.

“We need to lift the momentum.”

The goalkeeper also believes they would need to improve their defensive structure.

“Defence was our weakness from the pool games and this is one area we need to improve on especially playing against Suva,” he said.

National reps Waisake Tabucavu and Andrew Naicker would boost the morale of the team.

“We hope they will help lift the side on Saturday,”Dickson said.

Also bolstering the Nadi side are former national reps Rusiate Matererega, Ilimotama Jese and Dickson.

Nadi finished as runners up in Pool A behind Labasa while Suva finished top of Pool B and Rewa finished as runners up.

Suva and Labasa were the unbeaten side following pool rounds and conceded zero goals. Labasa play Rewa in the first semi-final at 2pm.
