Ben Volavola will be a key man for the Vodafone Flying Fijians when they play Italy at the ANZ Stadium tomorrow starting at 2.30pm.

Since replacing Nicky Little, Volavola is making the No.10 jersey his own since his  debut against the Maori All Blacks in 2015.

At 26 years old, he is one of the more experienced first five –eighths in the international arena.

He represented Australia in the 2011 World Rugby Junior World Championship, played for three Super Rugby franchises – Waratahs in 2013, Crusaders in 2016 and Melbourne Rebels this year.

Volavola is the key point of attack if the Fijians are to run and fly.

Yesterday, the former Veiuto Primary School student was inspired after visiting the Frank Hilton Early Intervention Centre as part of the Flying Fijians outreach programme.

It was also an emotional moment for Volavola seeing the children with special needs performing for them.

“God created us all alike and we should treat each other like our loved ones,” Volavola said.

Tomorrow, the Flying Fijians will need to be at their best in front of their fans, they need to tick and Ben needs to call the shots.
