A business woman who is charged with two counts of bribery will take her plea on September 4.

Anita Mala, owner of Celcius Fire Protection and Pest Control, yesterday appeared before Suva Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage.

She was granted bail on a sum of $10,000 each for two sureties and a travel ban was imposed on her.

For the first count, it is alleged that between November 21, 2016 and February 7, 2017, in Suva, Mala offered a bribe of $500 to $800 to a public servant employed by the Ministry of Labour while he was performing his duties as an inspector.

For the second count, it is alleged that on November 24, 2016, in Suva, Mala offered a bribe of $500 to a public servant employed by Ministry of Labour while he was performing his duties as a technical officer.
