Business Leaders Share Notes Over Breakfast

The National Training and Productivity Centre called together 17 business leaders to share their respective industry best practices on Friday over breakfast.

“This has brought together experienced business leaders in their respective fields to speak and share with industry leader’s best practices, as well as reflecting on those more unorthodox leadership styles and techniques they picked up over the years and which have worked for them in certain situations.” Fiji National University Vice Chancellor Professor Nigel Healey said.

Speaking at the Tanoa Plaza Hotel in Suva Mr Healey said the breakfast session was about Strategic Leadership and Execution.

He also said the session was about providing the opportunity for managerial and executive staff to refresh their ideas critical to productivity enhancement.

“This morning’s session has provided an architectural platform for leaders and participants to tackle the twin tasks of strategy development and strategy execution.”

Hosts FNU had launched a major event, the “Productivity Awareness Campaign” aimed at fulfilling the objectives of the Productivity Charter early this month.

The Charter, is the result of an agreement by the Government, employers, employees, and civil society representatives, stressing the importance of generating awareness amongst all sections of the economy and the community at large.
