Fiji Muslim League Releases Prayer Times For Members

The Fiji Muslim League has advised members that all attempts will be made to sight the new moon on Sunday 25th June, 2017.
General secretary Saiyad Hussain in a release said – “If the new moon is sighted EID-UL-FITR will Insha-Allah be celebrated on Monday 26th June, 2017, otherwise on Tuesday 27th June, 2017.”
He said they were requesting members to inform their respective Imams on successful sighting as soon as possible and by 7.30pm at the latest.
Branches he said were requested to announce Eid-ul-Fitr Salaah time in their respective Masajid during Juma Salah on 23rd June, 2017 at the latest.
“Moon sighting announcement will be made over Radio Fiji/ Radio Navtarang stations and TV’s as soon as it confirmed on Sunday 25th June, 2017. A final announcement will be made at 8.30pm over the same stations.”
The Fiji Muslim League humbly requests employers to grant leave to their Muslim employees to attend to the obligatory Eid-ul-Fitr prayer and other commitments for the day, he adds.
