Fijian Holdings Limited (FHL) yesterday announced the resignation of Merchant Finance Limited chief executive officer Napolioni Batimala.

Merchant Finance is a subsidiary of FHL.

Mr Batimala joined the FHL Group as a Manager Finance in 2008 and held various positions within the FHL Group including Manager Investment, General Manager- Clariti South Pacific Limited.

He was also appointed General Manager of Merchant Finance in 2011 then promoted to chief executive officer in 2015.

Although FHL Properties Ltd chief executive officer Rowena Fong will take his place as acting CEO, FHL Group chief executive officer Nouzab Fareed confirmed that the position will be advertised soon.

Fiji Roads Authority also confirmed yesterday the resignation of its chief executive officer John Hutchinson due to personal reasons.

The FRA Board of Directors will recruit a new CEO but Robert Sen will take over the new role in the interim, said FRA Board chairman Dinesh Patel.

Mr Patel and the Board thanks Mr Hutchinson for his services to the organisation and wishes him well in his future undertakings.
