The 4R Electric Ba football side got off to a good start in the resumption of the Vodafone Premier League yesterday.

The ‘Men In Black’ defeated Rakiraki 3-1 at Govind Park , Ba.

Laced with experienced players like national reps Laisenia Raura and striker Saula Waqa, the team scored their opening goal through Meli Codro.

Ba dominated the game resulting in Samuela Nabenia scoring to extend the lead before Rakiraki defender Sairusi Nalewedonu kept the team in fighting chance with a goal.

Halftime: Ba 2-1 Rakiraki

Rakiraki regrouped in the second half to put the home side under pressure on many occasions.

Big Play: The ‘Men in Black’ were more composed and dominate play and could have scored more.

Star Turn: Rakiraki are improving in every game and should pose a threat in future.

Comments: Ba manager Arvind Singh said;

“Three points is very important ,we returned after long break and 90 per cent of our players are young  so this is a good build up for Battle of the Giants tournament,” Singh said.

Rakiraki head coach Pragdeesh Goundar said;

“Our players played well and to score a goal against a team like Ba is something for us and I’m happy for the boys.”
