LAUTOKA 3 – 0 DREKETI

The Kamal Swamy-coached Lautoka football side had leapfrogged over Suva in the Vodafone Premier League points table.

The Blues lead with 16 points while Suva are in second spot with 15.

What happened: The sugar city side remained undefeated after beating Dreketi 3-0 at Churchill Park, Lautoka yesterday.

In the 10th minute Lautoka scored the first goal through Lisari Qalica following a cross kick from Zibraz Shahib.

In the 31st minute striker Siotama Kubu extended the lead with a place kick beating goalkeeper Ronald Kumar.

Halftime: Lautoka 2-0 Dreketi.

In the 58th minute striker Mohammed Shazil scored the third goal for the Blues.

Lautoka could have scored more with the inclusion of national reps Ben Mateinaqara, defender Kolinio Sivoki, Zibraz Shahib and Dave Radrigai.

Star Turn: Iliesa Lino was brilliant in attack.

Big Play: Midfielder Zibraz Shahib and left wing Dave Radrigai played well for the Blues.

Comments: Lautoka coach Kamal Swamy said; “The boys played exceptional football but we could have scored more.

“We are happy to be on the top of the league once again which is our aim for this season.”

Dreketi coach Johan Leewai said; “The boys played well against a team comprised mostly of national reps. I’m happy and look forward to the INKK Battle of the Giants next month.”
