Players Signing On For The Fiji International

The ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia has officially opened entries for the Fiji International with players rushing to secure their spot in the tournament.

The tournament will be played at the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course from 17-20 August, Tour Professionals are eager to compete in the tournament with plenty of opportunities on offer.

The Fiji International champion will earn full status on the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia, European Tour and Asian Tour; giving them access to some of the other world’s biggest tournaments.

This makes the Fiji International an attractive tournament for players from all over the world to compete in.

Adam Blyth

From Queensland, Adam Blyth turned Professional in 2004 and competed on the Asian Tour until 2013. Since returning to his home tour; the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia, Adam has made a huge impact. He won twice last year; firstly at the South Pacific Open in New Caledonia and then again at the New South Wales Open. Thanks to these two victories Adam was recognised as the 2016 ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia Player of the Year. Adam has played in all three stagings of the Fiji International and with two top-10 finishes already this year will he will be looking to beat his previous best performance of tied 18th on the Natadola Bay layout.

Anthony Houston

From Victoria, Anthony Houston turned Professional in 2013 and got off to a solid start in his career making three top-10 finishes in 2014.

For the inaugural staging of the Fiji International, Anthony was the first alternate and missed out on competing. However in 2015 he made his Fiji International debut finishing tied 18th.

Anthony will return to Fiji this year with positive memories after he broke through at the 2016 Fiji International, finishing third and spending the final two rounds playing alongside eventual champion and PGA TOUR winner Brandt Snedeker.

Aron Price

From New South Wales, but residing in the United States, Aron Price is a highly experienced player who has competed on both the PGA TOUR and Web.com Tour in America. On his home Tour, Price has been a highly consistent player over the past few years starting with his runner-up finish at the 2015 Fiji International.

Since then he has recorded a further 10 top-25 results including another runner-up finish at the Victorian PGA Championship earlier this year.

A strong field is anticipated to tee it up in the Fiji International this year thanks to the new tri-sanctioning relationship between the European Tour, Asian Tour and ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia.

We look forward to announcing more players, including the international stars, for the 2017 tournament in the coming weeks.
