Double Celebration For Winger

The Naitasiri speedster describes the tour as an eye-opener
It was double celebration for Telecom Fijiana speedster Lavena Cavuru.
Arriving at Nadi International Airport on Wednesday, Cavuru had made her international debut and also she had just turned 23.
The Naboubuco, Naqelewai, Naitasiri native was on cloud nine and believes her hard work and dedication for the past four years has finally paid off.
She made her debut at the Clermont-Ferrand Sevens last weekend.
“I want to thank God for everything he has provided me, he’s been my pillar of strength and while I was playing club rugby in Fiji I know one day I will have to represent my country.
“I want to thank the team management for having faith in me and believing in me to be part of this last leg of the series,” Cavuru said.
“I’m excited going for my debut and also celebrating my 23rd birthday,”
The Naitasiri winger describes the tour as an eye-opener for her.
“It was a different experience for me but every time I put on that white jersey, I always think of my family and my country and try to make everyone proud,” she added.
Cavuru said scoring a try on her debut was a memorable moment for her.
“It was a different feeling for me scoring my first try in our game against Spain. I will need to work on my passes for the next series that is one area I should improve on.”
