New Housing Deals
A total of 476 affordable housing lots are expected to be ready by the end of this year.
$7.38million has been allocated to the Department of Housing to subsidise the land development cost of new subdivisions of the Housing Authority in Nepani, Nasinu and Davuilevu, Nausori.
Also, $250,000 has been allocated for strata title home ownership in partnerships with the Fiji National Provident Fund and to increase stockpile of public rental housing through partnership with the private sector.
And, $1.3million has been allocated under the Informal Settlement Relocation Programme to relocate 300 families and preparations will soon be underway for informal settlers living at Nabua (Fiji Muslim League land) to be relocated to Waidra (Baulevu).
