A 38-year-old stepfather charged with raping his stepdaughter pleaded not guilty yesterday at the High Court in Suva.
The matter was called before Justice Thushara Rajasinghe.
The accused is charged with four counts of rape. It is alleged that he raped his stepdaughter who is under the age of 13. The alleged incident took place between March 17, 2017 and April 13, 2017.
The State was represented by Meli Vosawale awhile the accused was represented by Lisiate Qetaki.
The case has been adjourned to July 20, for mention.
