Good Prep For Swimmers: Rova

The Fiji Swimming Age Group National Championship is a good competition to prepare national reps for the upcoming international events, says Ben Rova.
And the Fiji Swimming president applauded the participation of Samoa, Tonga and New Zealand swimmers at the three-day event which finishes at the Damodar Aquatic Centre in Suva today.
“This is part of the long course events where we have 10 of our local clubs competing,” Rova said.
“We are also glad to have teams from Tonga, Samoa and New Zealand competing and boosting the profile of the competition.
“Our aim for hosting this competition is to give the squad members the exposure to represent Fiji in the upcoming championship which is the World Championship in Budapest and Commonwealth Games in Australia.
“This is a great opportunity for Elite swimmers to get some exposure and better their personal time.
“We are also fortunate to have our high performance coach Mark Davis with us. He will be meeting the coaches and addressing them on the ways we can better the performance of the swimmers.”
The competition ends today.
