Namosi aims to beat Naitasiri in the Skipper Cup semifinal at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori on Saturday.

The Highlanders beat Namosi 32-20 during the pool rounds.

Meeting again in the semfinals, Namosi assistant manager Joji Duikoro said they have taken a lot out of their first game against Naitasiri and know what to change this time around.

“Our preparation for the semifinals has been going really well and we are definitely not leaving any stone unturned,” Duikoro said.

“We played against Naitasiri in our very first Skipper Cup game and we lost that so facing them again will be very interesting.

“We have reviewed our last game against them and looked at their strengths and weaknesses and how we can improve on that.

“Playing them in the semis will be really different compared to the last time we played.”

Namosi won five out of their seven pool games and have displayed a strong defensive game.

Duikoro said credit goes to the various coaches who handle scrums, the team’s defence and attack.

“When it comes to each game we play, we have a strategy,” he said.

“But we need to keep up our performance and step up from each game.

“We know the fans will be witnessing some good rugby.”

Namosi will play Naitasiri at 3pm at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori tomorrow.
