Avoid Boring An Employee: Krishna

Competitive business environment provides an opportunity for trainers to change employee mindset.

Fiji National Provident Fund general manager human resources Ravinesh Krishna challenged delegates at the Fiji National University National Trainers Conference to avoid boring an employee.

This means setting clear goals and direction for an employee to know how they will grow and develop within the organisation.

“We are not superheroes and we cannot change everything in the organisation but we can encourage the executive to build a new process that will grow the organisation.

“Trainers must know their organisation’s capability and capacity to be able to implement strategies to achieve the organisation’s vision.”

Mr Krishna said recruitment and replacement remains a huge cost because of the loss of knowledge and experience from an employee is not easy to replace.

He said if there is a person within the organisation who is capable of the leadership role, then it is best to give that person a chance rather than looking elsewhere.
