Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu had labeled the 2017-2018 National Budget as a ‘fairy tale Budget’ in Parliament yesterday.
The Paramount Chief of Cakaudrove made this statement while delivering his response to the Budget.
Ratu Naiqama said there was a need to free Fiji from issues of poverty, high cost of living and other financial problems.
He said there was a need to enhance productive sectors rather than injecting more money to the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces.
The high cost of living faced by the people, he added was unbearable.
