Rewa anticipate a tough battle against Navosa in the Vodafone Vanua Championship final at ANZ Stadium in Suva tomorrow.

And yesterday, they took time out from training and visited Dilkusha Home in Nausori as part of their community service.

Deaconess Sala Kacivakawalu was grateful for the visit.

“I would like to thank the Rewa Rugby Union and Vodafone for their support and taking time out to visit the children.”

Coach Ro Alifereti Doviverata said the visit boost the morale of the players.

“I think the message from Dilkusha Home was for the boys to give their best against Navosa,” Doviverata said.

“Navosa thrashed Ovalau so we will have to be prepared mentally and physically.

“This is my third year of coaching Rewa and we fell short in the last two years.

“However, this year we are glad to have qualified for the 2018 Skipper Cup competition. But we are yet to accomplish our mission for the season which is to win the Vodafone Vanua Championship title.

“The boys have been responding well to training. At the beginning of this season I had put out a plan for 18 weeks and I asked them for their commitment, loyalty and sacrifice.

“Despite not getting enough financial assistance, we still managed to accomplish a lot.”
