The Peniasi Damu-coached Warwick Navosa rugby team is ready to face Rewa in the Vodafone Vanua Championship final at the ANZ Stadium in Suva today.

Both teams are assured of promotion to the 2018 Skipper Cup competition. But Navosa skipper Suliasi Degei wants to end 2017 on a high against Rewa.

“The boys are all looking forward to playing Rewa in the final,”Degei said.

“We expected it to be tougher than the previous games but I believe we have the depth and strength to survive in the end.”

Yesterday, 40 players and officials visited the Sigatoka School for Special Education as part of their community service.

“This is a grand way to boost the morale of the players,” Degei said.

Head teacher Asenaca Sukanatäbua said the visit by the team and Vodafone did lighten up the day for the children.

Vodafone sponsorship specialist Wiliam Tabuya said it was great to see team like Navosa also actively involved in giving back to the community.

The match between Warwick Navosa – Rewa kicks-off at 5pm today.
