A drug testing facility will be available at Subrail Park in Labasa during the 2017 INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants which starts today.

Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) vice-president Girja Prasad said this would be a first for the North.

“New facilities would include the drug testing facility and extra floodlights have also been installed,” Prasad said.

He applauded the efforts by the Labasa Town Council in order to meet the demands of the Fiji FA for this national tournament.

“The requirements that Fiji FA wanted has been met and Labasa Town Council are just carrying some minor works. This is a great effort by them and we are very thankful,” he said.

The Special Administrator for Labasa and Savusavu Town, Vijay Chand said; “People of Labasa are earnestly waiting to see the matches unfold.

“The crowd are anticipating seeing good matches.

“Extra hours have been put into work to meet the requirements of the Fiji FA and I am glad that we have been able to do the work as required by them on time.”

Tickets on sale at the Labasa Town Council office for $10 and $6.
