Some sobering facts were shared by the Assistant Minister for Environment Lorna Eden regarding the harm that single use plastics are doing to the environment.
She spoke in Parliament in support of the 10 cents levy which has been introduced on each single use plastic bag.
“Madam Speaker, every responsible Citizen worldwide is concerned about the detrimental effects of Plastic Bags and how they irreversibly damage our Environment and our Wildlife.
“I’d like to share some facts Madam Speaker, that I’m sure everyone will be interested to know.
“So please everyone, Buy a Bag Today.”
