MUSIC FESTIVAL ORGANISER OVERWHELMED BY SUPPORT

Knox Entertainment Limited co-director and main organiser of the inaugural Thurston Food and Music Festival, EllanaKalounisiga, was yesterday overwhelmed by the turn out.
She said it was more than expected.
“We had a lot of families and kids turn up to the festival and enjoying the day with live music, statues from VOU Dance Group and great response from the Fiji Police Force team as well,” she said.
“This is the first time ever we have held a music festival which turned out great and we have plans to host it every year.
“We also would like to thank Fiji Broadcasting Corporation Gold FM and Paradise Beverages for their support and partnership with us.
“It was great to see the kids having so much fun with the playground set up as well as the live statues which got everyone’s attention along with the music and local food dishes,” Ms Kalounisiga said.
Artists who put on a great show were Inoke Kalounisiga better known as Knox, Talei and Nem, Moana Loa, Sam Stevens, Nasio Domoni, Via Ni Tebara, Laisa Vulakoro and Seru Serevi, Drixstar, The Relativ, Tom Mawi, Inside Out and Tiki Taane.
Organisations such as Paradise Beverages, Onyx Entertainment,Holiday Inn Suva, The Pearl Resort, Redox, Goodman Fielder, and Fiji Sun stepped up to support what has been dubbed Fiji’s first music festival.
