Suva and Nadi drew one-all in their second pool match at the 2017 INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament at Subrail Park, Labasa yesterday.

None of the two showed any urgency or effort to score in their slow paced encounter even though the Suva fans were expecting the capital city side to come out firing with their cheering.

Nadi’s Rusiate Matarerega caught Suva goalie Emori Ragata off guard when he scored the first goal for Nadi in the 39th minute of the second half to give the jetsetters the lead.

Suva held on a little longer and fought their way until the dying seconds when Sairusi Nalaubu scored the equaliser.

Suva coach Nathan Shivam said while they were happy to gain the one point from the draw, there was still a lot that needed to be done.

“It was a last minute goal and they did well despite having some areas that they would need to improve on,” Shivam said.
