Top Four Giants

After three days of thrilling competition, Labasa, Nadi, Rewa and Lautoka have emerged as the semifinalists of the 2017 INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants at Subrail Park, Labasa yesterday.
The venue for the semifinals will be confirmed today by the Fiji Football Association (FFA).
This was confirmed by the FFA acting president Tarunesh Reddy.
“Looking at different issues and logistics we have delayed the announcement of the venues,” Reddy said.
“If we have it in Vanua Levu then the three teams will have to travel down from Viti Levu.
“If we have it on different venues then we don’t know about the availability of the grounds.
“Then we have to see the availability of flights and other traveling arrangements. We will only be able to know about the bookings on Monday.
“We are looking into many options because we don’t want participating teams, fans and public to be affected.”
One player tested positive
Reddy has confirmed that during the three days tournament only one player had a positive drug test result.
“We have been having drug tests from day one where we pull two players from each teams after they play,” Reddy said.
“The player has been banned from playing one month until we get the second test done which will be after a month. If the second test will be positive then we will reveal the name.”
