Fiji Masters Rugby 10s Date Confirmed

The inaugural Fiji Masters Rugby 10s tournament will be held at the Prince Charles Park, Nadi, on October 7.
This will the first tournament dedicated to players who are over 38 years. It is being organised by the Nadi Denarau Friends of Rugby.
Event coordinator Epineri Susu said the idea came about after the Big Bula Denarau Lions and Nawaka toured Australia last year.
“The onus is to get former players together and for them to keep fit and healthy,” said Susu.
“Partial proceeds from the one day tournament will be used to help junior rugby in schools and villages.
Invitations have been sent to the local clubs Water Authority of Fiji (WAF), Army, Police, Nawaka and Marist.
“Previously the Masters or Oldies were part of the Nawaka and Marist 7s tournaments. But this time we want to dedicate a tournament for Masters or Oldies alone.”
The theme of the tournament is ‘Keep the Ball Flowing, Connecting through rugby.’
