TFL Support For Combine Service

The Combine Service team received rugby uniforms worth $2307 from Telecom Fiji Limited (TFL) in Labasa yesterday.
The team, comprised of civil servants and officers from the National Fire Authority and Fiji Corrections Service, was formed in 2016.
Combine Service manager and Secretary Nemani Turagaiviu said the purpose of forming the team was to utilise the talented individuals in the civil service.
“We are very grateful some of the players from the team played for the Macuata rugby team in 2016 and this year in the Skipper Cup competition,” Turagaiviu said.
“Since the team was formed we have been facing financial difficulties purchasing a new set of jerseys. We thank TFL for assisting us.”
Commissioner Northern Jovesa Vocea made the presentation at Macuata House in Labasa.
“Rugby promotes wellness and combats non-communicable diseases (NCD), this is also an effective way to keep youths away from involving themselves in criminal activities,” Vocea said.
TFL accounts manager Sulivenusi Bulivaka said the sponsorship was a token of appreciation for the never ending support from the Government.
“TFL is one of the major sponsors of the Fiji Rugby Union and this is the first time we are sponsoring a local rugby club.”
