Wanted Suspect In Police Custody

A man who has been alleged to be involved in two separate cases of aggravated robbery last Friday in Labasa is currently in Police custody.
This was confirmed by Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro yesterday.
“Both cases were reported on Friday night and the first was when a 16-year-old was allegedly assaulted and had his phone and wallet stolen,” Ms Naisoro said.
“The second incident was when a taxi driver was allegedly threatened and had his phone and cash stolen.
“The incident happened in the Tovata Settlement.
“Since the incidents, a team was tasked with apprehending the suspect who had been evading Police,” she said.
“Yesterday morning he was arrested and is being questioned at the Labasa Police Station.”
