Lorima Dau, 34,  aims to make history for Rewa by winning the second Fiji Football Association –sanctioned tournament of 2017.

The ‘Delta Tigers’ veteran will take on Labasa in the first semifinal of the 2017 INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament at Ratu Cakobau in Nausori this Friday.

This is the 17th year that the Tailevu native has been playing football for his district.

“I started playing for Rewa in 2000 and ever since then I had been playing for other districts like Navua and Lautoka and then I came back to Rewa,” Dau said.

“It has been an overwhelming experience as I got to interact with so many people.

“And playing football has also broaden my knowledge on how I see things.

“In the twilight of my career I just want to play for my district.

“On Friday, expectation will be high as we will be playing in front of our home crowd and they will want us to win.

“Coach Marika Rodu always inspires us to do our best performance and the result will follow.

“I am not thinking of retiring as I feel I am still fit enough to play football for Rewa for a few more years.”
