A vehicle belonging to a private company was towed away yesterday by Police after it tumbled down a cliff off Wailoku Road in Suva.

According to bystanders who wished to remain anonymous, the vehicle tumbled during the early hours of yesterday morning and the driver survived.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that she was yet to receive the particulars of the accident and could not comment on anything yet.

It is understood the road that heads down to five villages and a number of settlements has dangerous bends and drivers have been urged to be cautious when using it.

The driver was surrounded by Police officers and residents nearby who are understood to be family and friends.

The driver did not wish to comment and referred all questions to the company’s management.

He said that he needed to visit the hospital for a medical check-up.
