The President of Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Deepak Rathod said that allegations concerning an employee at SPCA were unreliable and untrue.

Mr Rathod said he verified the source of the post which proved to be fake.

“I have discussed this post with the person who is purported to have made it and confirm that he denies posting it. Obviously the profile is fake and meant to deceive people,” Mr Rathod said.

“To comment on a fake post would be most unethical.”

The post claimed that the person who allegedly sexually harassed a former SPCA manager and veterinarian was returning to a role in the organisation.
