Temuera Morrison, the famous New Zealand actor whose here for the Viti Spinal Injuries Association of Fiji Old Skool Ball will perform songs alongside Igelese Ete at the event.

But not just from any playlist. The actor who plays the voice of the father of much-loved Moana, will be singing songs from the Walt Disney Pictures movie of the same name.

He was here last year to promote Moana.

His character’s name is Chief Tui.

“It’s my third time here in Fiji and it’s great to always come back and be able to promote an event for a worthy cause which eventuated through a good friend,” Mr Morrison said.

“I want to entertain them and I can sing as well so yes it’s going to be a great evening.”

Mr Morrison hopes that the audience will be able to give for a worthy cause.

He is also here with his partner, Ashlee Howden-Sadlier.

One of his favourite dishes when they came here last year was kokoda (raw fish marinated in coconut and lemon) as well as the kava, he said.

“I hadn’t tasted kava so I’m really looking forward to this,” Ms Howden-Sadlier said.

Mr Morrison said: “Every time I come to Fiji there’s always a buzz and the Fijian people are always friendly.”
