Methodist Church Revives Men’s Rally

The Methodist church of Fiji and Rotuma Men’s Rally was revived yesterday at the Furnival Park in Toorak, Suva; after a lapse of several years.

Secretary for the Men’s Fellowship, Reverend Buisena Ravoka said the rally was restored at the central division before it will be held at the West, North and Maritime areas.

Rev Ravoka said the main reason for the rally was to renew their relationship with each other and with God.

“After the central division rally we will be moving it to the West, North, and the Maritime areas,” Reverend Ravoka said.

About 22 divisions from the central area were represented including Verata, Bau, Nausori, Rewa, Wesley and the maritime Rabi and Rotuma divisions.

Reverend Ravoka said each division had a target of raising $500 each with a target of $11,000 for the rally.

There was also choral singing from the various Men’s groups and food stalls at the event.

The President of the Methodist Church of Fiji and Rotuma, Reverend Dr Tevita Nawadra Banivanua attended the rally.

A crowd of about 200 were present at the Furnival Park in Toorak, Suva yesterday.
