Home Brew: While the realignment and construction of the road and bridge at Stinson Parade is going on, a lot of cafes and bistros have opened up.

This could also be a sign of positive invest­ment and that once the bridge is done traf­fic will follow freely in Suva and people will have a wide range of places to have a meal.

But at the moment, people are cueing at some frequent spots in Suva to get a breakie, brunch, lunch or light dinner.

Below are few eateries if you may in no particular order that people flock too be­cause excellent food and customer service.

Contain Yourself Café:

(Edward St, Suva): Contain Yourself Café is a great spot to gather as groups or family for a quick meal.

It boasts a variety of pastries and bever­ages at a reasonable price. It’s got outdoor seating that would be a great place to sit and watch the world go by.

Opening hours: · 7AM–8PM

Moments Casual Eatery:

(Scott Street, Suva): Moments Casual Eat­ery opened on June 1 at the BSP Life Centre building along across Village 6 movie thea­tre.

One of its main advantage is its prime lo­cation coupled with good food and good ser­vice.

The menu board offers a good guidance and the staff know their stuff.

Opening hours: 7 am- 7.30 pm

Palm Court Bistro

(Victoria Parade, Suva): Palm Court Bistro is one of the places to visit when in the city.

Good food and beverage at a reasonable price.

For a longtime it has set a benchmark for lo­cals and tourists, who can hangout at the bis­tro located in the shopping arcade in Suva’s commercial business district area.

Opening hours: 7am through to 5.00pm Monday to Fridays. 7am-2pm on Saturdays. Closed during public holidays.

Gloria Jeans

(Suva): It’s very common to drink coffee or your favourite brewed tea in the morning, lunch or diner at Gloria Jeans.

There are several outlets around Suva at convenient spots because for some they say its famous for its outstanding brewed coffee and friendly service at your service always.

Ginger Café:

(Cakobau Road, Suva): Ginger kitchen is lo­cated outside the Fiji Museum complex. The view is beautiful, the atmosphere is quite and peaceful.

Navigating the choice is not for the faint hearted but the menu board offers some good guidance.

Mango Café

(Parade Arcade, Suva):

Mango’s Grab ‘n’ Go culture is on the rise as many discover the convenient fast pre-packed meals.

The two outlets are located on Mobil Ser­vice Station, next door to Dragon Music on Victoria Parade and the other at the In Liv­ing Word, Shop 1 in Parade Arcade which is right opposite McDonalds.

Opening hours: 7:30am – 5:30pm Monday to Fridays.

9am-2pm on Saturday.

Highland Natural Foods

(Parade Arcade, Suva): It is your one stop destination healthy vegan food shop and café.

The café’s goal is serving the people with healthy, fresh and natural plant-based meals through their juice.

Their friendly staff serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks.
