West Real Estate Committee To Tackle Issues

Some Western Division formed a Real Estate company representatives committee yesterday to address industry issues and work with the Real Estate Association of Fiji.
The committee members had a discussion at General Machinery Motors Showroom at Veitari, Lautoka.
The major problem shared by the real estate company representatives was the illegal operation being carried out by non-registered real estate companies.
President for Real Estate Association of Fiji Vyas Deo Sharma said the formation of the committee will be of great help to the agents in Western Division.
“The Real Estate Agents are facing a lot of problems at the moment and the members will be able to share their grievances with the committee members which will later be addressed by the Fiji Real Estate Association.
“So far we would like to appreciate the recognition of our association by the Real Estate Agents Board.
“We have illegal operators who steal our business and now we have some proof in our hand which will be discussed next month when we have the National Real Estate meeting In Suva.”
Mr Sharma said that the real estate board was aware of the issues and they would be writing to the Real Estate Board indicating their disappointment about illegal operations not only in the Western Viti Levu but in Northern,Eastern and Central Divisions.
“Without paying tax and without the knowledge of Real Estate Board some operators are operating,” he said.
Real Estate companies who were part of the meeting yesterday were:
- Khelvin Realtors
- Just in Reality
- Asia Pacific International Limited
- Vector Investments
- Country Property Estate
- Dorine Charan Realtors
- Nizamqh Realtors
- Kingdom Real Estate Limited
- 7 & Few Realtors.
