Members of a family in Davuilevu Housing near Nausori were left with the clothes they were wearing after fire destroyed their home yesterday.
They declined to comment referring all questions to the Police.
A neighbour who wished to remain anonymous said he saw smoke coming out from a room.
He said: “There were two children both in primary school playing around the house and I saw the smoke coming out from one of the bedrooms.
“When I ran outside I saw the house was on fire and luckily we were able to save the two children in the house but we couldn’t save any belongings,” he said.
The Police and the National Fire Authority are conducting their investigations.
