Nakama Village assistant headman Gabirieli Salala encouraged the eights tots at Nakama Kindergarten in Labasa during the Early Childhood Eaducation Week celebration on Wednesday to focus on their studies.

“Never lose sight of education because it will pave the way for your future,” Mr Salala said.

“One day you will all be great women and men of Fiji contributing positive changes to the economic development,” he said.

“I have great hope that also one day you will step forward to help Nakama villagers.

“Never be afraid to make mistakes, but once you make that mistake try your best to fix it.

Mr Salala reminded those in the audience that access to education remained the priority of the Government and every parent must ensure that their children received early childhood education.

“With the way the world is going we really need to get our children educated as soon as possible,” he said.

“I would like to thank the teachers for imparting your knowledge.

“Please continue to help them to be a better citizen.”
