User friendly and interactive are the two key ingredients for any good website.

The revamped website of the Fiji Development Bank (FDB) is exactly that.

The website allows clients and interested customers to download application forms, view FDB tenders and also conduct online banking.

Fiji Development Bank Board chairman Robert Lyon said the website has information that existing and new clients could access from the comfort of their homes through their mobile phones and computers.

“With the new website, FDB is reaching out to Fijians and will contribute towards bridging the connectivity gap when it comes to the question of financial inclusion,” Mr Lyon said.

“An informed and literate community is better positioned and empowered to make informed decisions about finances.”

The Prime Minister had unveiled the bank’s golden jubilee logo and the anniversary theme: ‘Development for Fijians across Generations’.

It also launched the bank’s three-year strategic plan 2018-2020 on July 28.

“FDB has emerged as a contributor to the nation’s vision for development by uplifting Fijian businesses through support for entrepreneurs at the grassroots level and helping bigger players expand in regional and international markets,” he added.

“Our new strategic plan is intended to assist the bank in attaining its true status through greater mobilisation of resources.

“This enhances the company’s capacity to dispense development financing through diversified loan portfolios of short, medium and long term funding instruments.”

He also said that FDB would continue to empower and develop Fijians as they had been doing for the past 50 years.

The website was launched by resident magistrate Mosese Naivalu.
