St John’s College aim to get even against Coke Zero Deans Under-18 defending champions Queen Victoria School in the semifinal at the ANZ Stadium at 4pm tomorrow.
The two teams met three times in the Eastern Zone competition with the Victorians winning twice while St John’s upset QVS 21-8 in Cawaci.
Coach Sefanaia Takape said they were positive of a good outing after beating Nasinu Secondary School 20-9 in the quarterfinal last week.

“St John’s has never won the Deans Trophy and this year we hope to finish on a high note,” Takape said.
“Like any other team we want to win and are confident we will take the trophy back to Ovalau next week.
“Our preparations are on track and the boys have stepped up in training.”
Takape said they will need to improve their discipline, mental toughness and defence.
“The boys are in good spirit and they are aware of how crucial a win in the semifinal would mean to the school, ex-scholars and fans.
“The only way we will be able to encounter QVS is by playing to plan and working together as a team.
“I would like to thank all the ex-scholars, school management and parents for their endless support throughout the season.”
In the other semifinal at 2:30pm, western zone champions Cuvu College face Ratu Kadavulevu School.
