US Navy Vessel Here, Personnel onboard to Play Football Match with RFMF Personnel

The American naval supply vessel USNS Sacagawea (T-AKE-2) which is currently anchored at the Suva Harbour.
United State Embassy’s regional public affairs officer Dmitri Tarakhovsky confirmed personnel onboard were paying a courtesy call to the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.
Mr Tarakhovsky said the sailors and officers onboard hoped to play a game of football with a team from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces next Wednesday.
Republic of Fiji Military Forces chief of staff Colonel Ratu Jone Kalouniwai confirmed that a football match had been arranged for August 9.
Colonel Kalouniwai said that they were aware of the USNS Sacagawea’s arrival.
Background
Sacagawea was launched in June 2006. She is one of 14 Lewis and Clark class dry cargo ships that comprise the United States Marine Corps Maritime Prepositioning Programme.
