Preschool Plays Integral Part Before Child Moves Onto Mainstream

Bethel Kindergarten manager Adriel Maniam said preschool week celebration was an integral part of a child’s education.
Speaking at the closing of the five fun filled days of activities Mr Maniam said he was thankful to the teachers for organising various activities for the children.
“I feel awe for these children because they are so vulnerable and still try to figure out what is right and wrong; what they should do and what they should not do,” he said.
“Hence, it is very important that teachers mould them well so that when they move to primary school and secondary school they know their basic moral values of life and what the school system expects them to do.
“It is beautiful to see the children, teachers and their parents interact and come together for one purpose – to prepare the young ones for the mainstream,” Mr Maniam said.
“Education holds the key to success”, he said.
“Early education helps prepare a child secure a better future in this big world of competition.
“You will not prosper well in the future if you do not build a proper foundation for yourselves.
“Let them grow to be a better son or daughter in the family; a better student in school and a better citizen for our country.”
Mr Maniam urged parents, to make their child’s learning environment beautiful, free from violence and abuse.
There are 47 students attending the kindergarten.
