Sinukula Strikes Two In Victory

The Vodafone Fijian Under-16 team pulled off an impressive 4-1 win over American Samoa in the Oceania Football Confederation U16 Women’s Championship in Apia, Samoa on Friday.
Fiji got off to a good start with a goal from Eseta Sinukula in the 11th minute.
American Samoa defended well preventing Viniana Buke and Titilia Waqabaca from extending the lead.
Goalkeeper Zena Foma’i was busy trying to keep Fiji at bay but in the 18th minute, Buke caught her off guard and fired in Fiji’s second goal,
Sinukula got her second three minutes later to give Fiji a 3-0 lead at halftime.
Despite making a few changes, Fiji still dominated the second spell.

In the 60th minute, substitute Vani Bainivalu made her presence known by scoring Fiji’s fourth goal, 4-0.
In the 71st minute, Samoa was awarded a free kick after a foul from Lusiana Lagilevu outside the box.
American Samoa captain Elcy Naolavoa got one back for her team from a free kick.
