Despite the cold weather, the AFL Fijian Tribe and Vonu teams are ready for their 2017 AFL International Cup which starts today.

AFL Tribe coach/development officer Simon Highfield said the players are adapting to the weather.

“The weather is very cold, this is not something that the players are used to back at home,” Highfield said.

“The other teams are also affected and we will prepare the best we can.”

Vice-captain Jiuta Vateitei said the players will do their best to adjust.

“We are hoping to acclimatise well before the competition starts.”
