Sugar Cane Growers Fund Opens In Seaqaqa

Yesterday marked an important day for the sugarcane farmers in Seaqaqa as the Sugar Cane Growers Fund officially opened their office.

The office is located in the Sugar Cane Growers Council Building.

This office will allow growers to save on transportation costs as they will now not have to travel to Labasa to get their business with the Fund sorted out.

Fund acting chief executive officer Vimal Dutt said the office was a request from the cane growers.

The office will begin operation on the 7th of August.

The core function of the Fund is to provide loans to sugar cane growers.

The loans offered are affordable for all farming needs such as the purchase of cane, farm machines, farm house repairs, payment of new lease costs, refinancing to agricultural, purchase of working bullocks and so on.
