Regular writer, Dr Joel Trazo, took this picture after witnessing similar dumping in the area every time he passes by.

Not a day without rubbish

Dr Joel Trazo,  Suva

This is a common sight (pictured) in an area in Valelevu.

It clearly shows the lack of discipline among members of the community.

Thank you Nadroga

Jonas Bradburgh,  Nasinu

Thank you Nadroga Rugby Union for being True Champions.

They summarised this fiasco with a gentlemen’s agreement and stating the playing field decided the winner, the protest was just to highlight issues regarding player eligibility.

Talking about procedures, if 10 Suva players are to be rested in the game against Namosi is this another indicator of:

  1. Lack of awareness on transfer procedure.
  2. Costly and too many requirements for player transfer, thus they don’t divulge their eligibility.

For example potential players working or residing in the Central Division have the Namosi, Naitasiri Northland and Naitasiri Rugby Unions to choose from.

The heart to play rugby and be recognised will always outweigh the transfer compliance.

Temporary location

Narayan Reddy,  Lautoka

Since the Lautoka Police Station has temporarily been relocated to the old FNPF building, the people in the city find it hard to report pickpockets and other crimes to the police.

We have a police post at the market but it is either closed or only one police officer will be on duty.

I am of the view that this police post is not utilised well. Can the Police Commissioner look into this!

Fear votes for SODELPA

Ravneel Sharma,  Suva

SODELPA is just trying to make the numbers so that they can out class the FijiFirst party in the 2018 general election. The statistics released in the Fiji Sun speaks a lot as to who is likely to come into power after 2018.

What the FijiFirst Government has done until now no other Government has done this in the past. The SODELPA party is trying to create fear and accumulate votes for the next elections after they had a very poor turnout in the Western rally.

I wonder what other strategy they will adopt if this ‘fear votes’ doesn’t work.
