Bigger, better Disavu 7s

The 2017 Disavu 7s tournament will be bigger and better.
Sponsored by Paradise Beverages for $8,000, the Fiji Bitter Disavu 7s will be held for three days on September 7-9 at Naluwai, Naitasiri.
Tournament organiser Ledua Ataogo said objective of the tournament was developing rugby in the rural areas.
“It’s bigger and better,”Ataogo said.
“Last year we received $6K for the tournament compliment of Fiji Rugby Union chairman Commander Francis Kean. And we are grateful to Paradise Beverages for boosting the competition next month.
“This is a tournament with a difference as no one is left out.
“This is the first sevens tournament in the country where we will also be hosting Kaji, U19 and women, competition. So it’s a complete and total package and it’s all for a worthy cause.”
The Kaji and U19 competitions will be held on September 7 while the women and men competition will be held September 8-9.
“The main objective is to involve children of Naitasiri in sevens rugby,”Ataogo said.
“We also aim to construct a multipurpose court for our Naivucini District School.
“So I invite teams to come and participate for a good cause.”
