Rabuka gives his North supporters attention

He is also confident that there will be no more coups, given the current leadership of the military.
Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) leader and former Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, has been giving his supporters the attention they need during his current tour of the Northern Division.
For over two days he has been touring the province of Cakaudrove having discussions with villagers where there has been an exchange of questions and answers regarding issues affecting them and about the Government.
In his address to the people of the Jerusalemi community in Savusavu last Sunday he said: “Being iTaukei means to look after all amongst us, show the compassion of Christ, seek God to forgive us and our land will be blessed.”
He said he did not join SODELPA to be party leader or to be Prime Minister. His purpose is to make Fiji what he called free again through compassionate leadership.
Moreover, he did mention that considering the level of leadership in the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) he is confident that there will be no more coups.
Other issues raised concerned village bylaws, Tertiary Education Loans Scheme (TELS) recipients finding difficulty to secure jobs, road conditions, fishing licence costs, youths left unheard, alleged no monitoring of Small and Medium Enterprises grants, and claims of a delay in releasing the food voucher.
