Namosi Secondary School Under-17 and U19 teams aim to come out on top in the Powerade Super Series Netball Championships.

The Fijian Secondary Schools Netball Association sanctioned event starts in Subrail Park, Labasa today.

Namosi Secondary team manager Maute Korovakaturaga said they arrived in Labasa on Friday with the Suva Grammar and St Joseph’s Secondary school teams.

“Competition will undoubtedly be tough,”Korovakaturaga said.

“We prepared for seven weeks and I have faith in my players.”

Namosi U17 team captain Susana Berenado shared the team’s target.

“We are here to win and that’s our target,” Berenado said.

“Travelling, food, weather and environment are all new as we are from the highlands.

“But we are here on a mission and we vow to do our best.”

Namosi U19 team captain Verenasi Maria said the teams have prepared well.

“We want to make our school proud.”

The teams are staying at Holy Family Secondary School.
