A left hook 35 seconds in the first round from Siliveni Nawai sends veteran Pita Tabuarua to the canvas at Lawaqa Park, in Sigatoka on Saturday night.

The Tubenasolo, Nadi native continued to be unbeaten in his eighth professional fight.

“I knew the fight will not last as I prepared well,” the 23-year old said.

“I dedicate this win to the village of Vunavutu where my Mum is from.”

His trainer Chunchal Baba Kumar said Nawai is ready to fight anybody in the middleweight division except Abhay Chand.

He thanked Mana Flyer, AA Builders for their support.

Taganikoro too strong

In the supporting bout 8x3min bout, Bukuya, Ba native Vilimoni Taganikoro proved too strong for Joseva Vaileba from Draiba, Navosa.

“Looking forward to the future promotion as I want to continue winning,” Taganikoro said.

Upcoming boxer Rahul Aaron Kumar was too strong for Junior Wahid Khan of Lautoka winning by TKO4.

“I thank my trainer Freddy Mukesh 2Chand,”the Seaside Boxing Club boxer said.
